Knowledge accumulated by people of different nationalities, worldviews, preserved in the Western world in scrolls of Ancient Greek philosophers and mathematicians, it was effectively saved by the Eastern world - specifically Middle East empires like the Abbasids - and then re-discovered via Al-Andalus Spain and Mediterranean connections of maritime Italian republics.

The diffusion and preservation of Greek knowledge within the broader Eastern culture not only bridged the gap between ancient and medieval worlds but also laid the groundwork for the Renaissance and the continued evolution of human understanding.
